How to Register
  1. Register your project at Registro Portal: https://registro.i3dc.my
  2. A letter of Acceptance (LOA) will be automatically issued for the accepted project.
  3. Please check Registro Portal for the copy of the PROJECT ID (I.E. YS10, 3MT1, SS1, ST1)
  4. Upload your video to any YouTube.
  5. Please ensure that you set the permission to public or unlisted.
  6. Pay the participation fee via Registro Payment System.
  7. Upload your video link, and evidence (optional – preferably Google Drive) via Registro Portal.
  8. For Young Scientists and Junior Scientists category, you are required to attach an approval letter from the school.
  9. The letter MUST BE GENERATED VIA Registro – Watch Video
  10. Please attach the letter with the school’s official letterhead and obtain the signature as well as the official stamp.
  11. Then, upload the document/letter to Google Drive – set permission to ‘anyone can view’.
  12. The organizer will verify the payment, video, and/or evidence link.
  13. Once verified, the video will be uploaded to Virtual Booth.
  14. A panel of expert reviewers will review all the projects submitted.
  15. Most Outstanding Video Awards will be selected by the juries.
  16. Announcement of results through the YouTube Channel, website, and email.
  17. The judges’ decision is final, and no appeals will be entertained.
Rules & Regulations
  • i3DC is open to all participants from primary schools to professionals.
  • The participation fee is only applicable for all categories EXCEPT primary and secondary schools.
  • Participation in primary (Junior Innovator) and secondary schools (Young Innovator) is FREE. However, the organizer only provides an e-certificate of participation and an award.
  • A School Authorization Letter is mandatory for primary and secondary schools.
  • Extra medals for Primary and Secondary schools are available for purchase at RM50 (local) and USD50 (international) per medal.
  • For other PAID categories, ONE MEDAL is provided for FREE. Extra medals are available for purchase at RM50 (local) and USD50 (international) per medal.
  • The organizer provides ONE e-certificate including all participants' names. Individual customized e-certificates can be purchased for RM15 each.
  • All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Failure to complete registration before the deadline will VOID participation.
  • Prices do not include customs fees for international shipping.
  • Junior Innovator (JI): Applicable for primary school students. The project MUST BE LED by a primary school student. Teachers/supervisors may be members.
  • Young Innovator (YI): Applicable for secondary school students. The project MUST BE LED by a secondary school student. Teachers/supervisors may be members.
  • Tertiary Categories: Applicable for students of higher learning institutions. The project MUST BE LED by a student.
  • Presentation videos must not exceed 6 minutes 30 seconds (general) or 3 minutes 30 seconds (3MT).
  • The use of third-party software to boost video views/likes is strictly prohibited and leads to disqualification.
  • All decisions are FINAL; no appeals will be entertained.
  • Data collected is strictly confidential, though the organizer may use it for event updates and future communications.
  • All presentation videos must start with each member introducing themselves via recorded video to ensure originality and consent.
  • The innovation and/or invention must be original; non-original work will be disqualified.
Video Guidelines
  • Video Duration: Within 6 Minutes and 30 Seconds
  • Orientation: Landscape
  • Submission: Upload to your own YouTube Channel. Please set permission to ‘Unlisted’ or ‘Public’.
  • Must start with video introduction of team members – including name, and organization/university name.
  • Contents – Introduction, problem statement, solution, impacts, commercialization potential, publication (if available), copyright (if available), any additional criteria.

2. Participants Must Bring

Required Poster Specs:

  • Size: A0 (84.1 cm × 118.9 cm) – Portrait
  • Content: Title, Author, Affiliation, and Structured Sections
  • Design: High-res graphics, 24+ pt font, minimal text

Required Equipment:

  • Poster Stand: Freestanding board (tri-fold or foam core)

Optional Extras:

  • Laptop/tablet (with battery backup)
  • A4 Handouts and Business cards

School Authorization Letter
  • School Authorization letter is mandatory for Primary and Secondary School participants.
  • Follow the instructions in the video to GENERATE the School Authorization Letter: [View]

  • Upload Authorization Letter to Google Drive. Set permission to ‘Anyone Can View’.
  • A project submitted without the Authorization Letter will not be approved and will be disqualified.
